download the mms maker Step 1. Enable USB mode on the PSP
Step 2. Run the mms maker application on the computer
Step 3. Fill in your PSP drive letter (f, e, etc) and tick the two boxes saying format memory stick and backup memory stick.
Step 4. Click Make MMS; You now have a Magic Memory Stick
Now comes the pandora battery. If you have one skip down to part three and if you dont have a psp with cfw buy a cheap pandora

Download hereStep 1. Extract the ospbt 0.6 zip file
Step 2. Enable USB mode on the PSP WITH CFW
Step 3. Copy the "ospbt_060" folder to to the Game folder
Step 4. Turn off USB mode and run the application on the PSP
step 5. Choose Backup battery eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin
Step 6. Once you have backed up the psp battery, scroll down to "convert to service mode"; now your battery is pandorized.
Upgrading to 4.01 m33 (custom firmware)
Step 1. Make sure you have both the Magic Memory Stick and the Pandorized Battery in it.
Step 2. Turn on the psp while holding the L trigger down
Step 3. Choose the firmware that says 4.01 m33 and wait for it to install; You now have custom firmware
